About Us

WorkExcel.com is owned by DFA Publishing & Consulting, LLC. We are located near Charleston, South Carolina. We offer products to assist workplace and workforce management professionals concerned about employee behavioral issues and exposures in the workplace, reducing associated risk, improving supervisor skills, and enhancing positivity in the work environment.

We started operations in 1994 by publishing the FrontLine Supervisor newsletter. It is still one of our most popular products. It is an editable, reproducible, and e-mailable publication that educates managers, supervisors, and team leaders in how to use the organization's employee assistance program as a resource to help employees improve job performance and deal with personal problems.

It also offers skills education to help supervisors become better managers of themselves and those they supervise. We have written over 1200 questions and answers on the supervisor's role in managing employee behavior and/or using the EAP as a positive, pro-employee, pro-organization management tool.

We offer publications, training products, free informational tools, ideas, and tips to support employers, and those who serve employers with the mission of helping employees remain happy, healthy, and productive. Helping reduce behavioral risk exposures and loss of productivity that flows from it is key to your vision. Counterproductive employee behaviors are influenced by behavioral health conditions, stress, substance abuse, conflicts at work, poor communication, biases, presenteeism, personal troubles, poor leadership, inappropriate and risky behavior, mental health conditions, and employee and institutional reactions and responses to events like violence, trauma, loss, change, and grief.
